About Evidence-Based Practice

Evidence-Based Practice is a peer-reviewed clinical journal that delivers concise, clinically relevant evidence syntheses designed to support decision-making in family medicine and primary care. Published monthly, the journal provides structured, high-quality summaries of current medical evidence across a broad range of conditions encountered in primary care practice. Through a consistent and scalable editorial approach, Evidence-Based Practice produces a high volume of rigorously evaluated content that supports both clinical care and medical education.

The journal is also expanding to include original research in Quality Improvement (QI), with initial publications anticipated in 2027. This expansion reflects an ongoing commitment to advancing evidence-based practice through both evidence synthesis and practice-based research. The journal’s primary aim is to identify, evaluate, and translate clinically relevant evidence into actionable guidance for primary care clinicians.

Our Team

Evidence-Based Practice is composed of a group of clinicians and editors working with authors across the country. This endeavor is spearheaded by our Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Jon Neher. Dr. Neher has worked countless hours mentoring new authors and fine-tuning more experienced authors. Many talented clinicians have developed their writing skills through Dr. Neher's editorial feedback. We are also under the leadership of our Editorial Board that guides the journal.
